Our  Fundraising Program was carefully designed to help charities, schools and event planners raise money for organizations through the sale of handcrafted Knitwits animal hats and mittens. Getting started is easy and the Knitwits team is always here to help. Simply follow the four steps below, and watch the orders roll in!        

 

What’s in it for you

Our fundraising program offers a flexible wholesale style sales strategy that allows you to set your own price and is designed to give you up to a 50% return on every sale. When you do a Knitwits Originals fundraiser you can be assured that you are selling high quality product that is useful to the consumer and fun! You can make your fundraiser as big or small as needed. The only requirement is a minimum 24 piece order. An easy sell with high return means you will meet and exceed your fundraising goals with ease.

Our Products 

Our products are uniquely hand crafted in Nepal by way of traditional knitting techniques in a fair trade environment. Every Knitwits Originals hat is loomed and finished with care using naturally dyed Azo free New Zealand wool. Wherever possible we use recycled materials for linings and embellishments to make our products as earth-friendly as possible.

Giving Back  

We are passionate about giving back and are thrilled to work with several children’s charities in Nepal where are goods are created. Additionally we are excited about our recent partnership with World Wildlife Fund on our collection of WWF Knitwits. 10% of all sales from this collection are donated back to WWF to help save endangered species all over the world. Step One:  Contact Us!

Now that you’re interested in our fundraising program we want to hear from you!  Send us an email at laura@deluxhats.com or call us toll free at 1-800-865-5975 ext. 2010 right away. When you contact us, we will set you up with your starter kit. The starter kit includes two samples of Knitwits Originals hats, a hat display stand, corresponding line sheet and order form templates to get you started.

Step Two:  Promote your Fundraiser

Once you receive your sample pack and familiarize yourself with the products and ordering information it’s time to start fundraising! At this stage you can download posters, promotional flyers and email PDF’s to send to parent email addresses. These forms can be photocopied and distributed to your potential customers either in hard copy form or via email. The hat samples provided in your starter kit can be displayed so customers can see, touch and try on the product. More fundraiser support is available on the website. 

Step Three:  Compile and Submit your Order Form

You’ve gone out to sell, sell, sell and you’ve met your goals!  Now it’s time to submit your bulk order for fulfillment. Add together all the units on the individual Participant order forms to create one bulk Master Copy order including all items to be shipped. Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do I get a sample pack?

A. E-mail us at or call 1-800-865-5975 ext 2010 right away. You will be contacted by one of our representatives and she will help you get started with a free sample pack. We supply you everything you need for a successful fundraiser: our sample pack includes two high quality Knitwits hats, a hat display, 2 colour posters for advertising, a product line sheet in colour, one master order form and participant order forms to collect orders and finally a payment authorization sheet.

 

Q. I've received my sample pack. What do I do next?

A. Display posters in the classroom or school hallways. Set up your display with your Knitwit sample. Have participants review the line sheet and fill in the order forms. Run the campaign as long as you like but remember that the deadline to submit your completed order is November 23, 2015.

 

 Q. How long will it take to receive my order?

A. Once we receive your completed master list, Knitwits will quickly generate an invoice for your order and it will be emailed or faxed to you in PDF format. All orders are C.O.D. (cash on delivery). We accept Visa, and MasterCard or a cheque for the full amount. Orders usually take 10-12 days from the receipt of order and payment to arrive at your school.  

 

Q. Are there hidden costs?

A. Shipping works out to approximately 50 - 90 cents per piece.

 

Q. We have 500 kids and would love 500 full colour flyers. Is this possible?

A. Download a full colour line sheets and posters from this website and print as many as you need in house.

 

Q. Our school mascot is a cardinal. Can Knitwits create a custom made hat?

A. Often we are able to create mascots. Please call us to discuss your custom order. Our minimum for a custom order is 50 pieces. It usually takes 12-14 days for a custom picture sample and upon approval custom orders can be ready for shipping in 6-7 weeks from the placement of the actual confirmed order. A deposit of 25% of the order is required at time of placing order.

 

Q. We have an event coming up and we'd love to have some stock to sell. Is this an option?

A. Yes, purchase as much as you like at the wholesale price and we'll ship it out to you immediately!
